This is a G4M, a land-based attack aircraft, one of the most representative aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy. The model aircraft, the K310, was the aircraft piloted by Captain Haruki Iki, platoon leader of the 3rd Squadron of the Kanoya Air Group, during the Battle of the Malay Sea in December 1941, and was one of the aircraft that hit the battlecruiser Repulse with a torpedo.
When it was put into actual combat, the top of the aircraft was painted in dark green and brown camouflage, just like the Type 96 land-based attack aircraft. There were two types of camouflage, one that flows from left to right when viewed from above, like this aircraft, and one that flows from right to left. The white stripe on the rear of the fuselage indicates that the aircraft belonged to the 21st Air Squadron, the senior unit of the Kanoya Air Group.

The model reproduces the early Type 11. Please pay attention to the different shapes of the main wings, tail, and vertical stabilizer tips from the later model, as well as the blister-shaped gun turret windows on the sides of the fuselage.
