The Su-30KN is a two-seater multi-role fighter developed as an advanced version of the Su-27UB and older Su-30 with improved avionics. It is equipped with air-to-ship and air-to-ground attack capabilities, and its radar has been modified to improve its air-to-air combat capabilities.
Model 302 was unveiled at the Gelendzhik Air Show in February 2000 and completed a test flight in 2001. It was originally unpainted but was later repainted in grey camouflage. It was seen in Irkutsk in flying condition as late as late 2013.
