This aircraft, a supersonic, high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft developed by the United States during the Cold War, was deployed to the 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing (9th SRW) at Beale AFB in California, and reconnaissance in the Asia-Siberian region was carried out by Detachment 1/Det.1, deployed to Kadena Air Base in Okinawa before it was returned to Japan.
Operations continued from Kadena even after Okinawa was returned to Japan, but after the end of the Cold War, the aircraft was hit by budget cuts and its deployment to Kadena Air Base ended in January 1990.

The wheels can be freely installed or removed.
