The Short Tucano was a licensed production of the EMB-312, developed by Embraer of Brazil, by Short of England, and was named the Tucano T.1. The performance was improved by replacing the original engine, and the aircraft was adopted as a trainer for the Royal Air Force.
The model aircraft was delivered in 1989 and operated at RAF Shawbury until 2005, when it was acquired by a private organisation for private use and is currently flown in the USA.
The blue, white and red tricolor stands out against the black aircraft.
