VF-103 inherited the nickname and insignia from "Sluggers" to "Jolly Rogers" when VF-84 was decommissioned on October 1, 1995. The aircraft was installed on CVN-65 and sailed in the Mediterranean Sea from June to December 1996. The markings were from the last flight of the Tomcats before their retirement in 2004, and are the last full-color markings for the unit.
