This former Virgin Atlantic 747-400 (G-VWOW) was purchased by Virgin Galactic in 2015. In 2017, it was transferred to Virgin Orbit, a company specializing in the satellite launch business.
The LauncherOne rocket will detach from the 747-400 in the sky and launch the satellite into orbit.
