This aircraft was used to shoot down a North Vietnamese Air Force MiG-21 with an AIM-9 Sidewinder on May 10, 1972, towards the end of the Vietnam War. It was transferred to the Marine Corps in the late 1970s, and could be seen in Japan at Iwakuni and Kadena.
